Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actor, playback vocalist as well as a musician. She works mostly in Tamil and Malayalam film languages. She made her acting debut with the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam and made her Malayalam debut with Annayum raolum. Andrea Jeremiah grew up in an Anglo-Indian home in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Andrea's father was a Madras High Court lawyer. She has one younger sister who works in Leuven Belgium as an assistant to research. Jeremiah was born near Chennai and went to National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea was a classical piano lessons at age eight, has been classified as the definition of a "geek" and was aspired to become a psychiatric until the 12th grade exam. She sang in The Jackson Five style troupe Young Stars at age 10. It was this group that shaped her singing and composition career. While at university, she was performing as a theatre artist. She was also in numerous stage productions organised through The Madras Players. Andrea was also The Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea began her acting career with Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. She acted in new leo commercial for coffee alongside actor Shiva in 2006. In 2006, she starred in a television show which was broadcast on Podhigai. She has performed as a character in India. She was in a small role at the end in Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). Following her performance of a song in Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu he asked her to play as one of the lead female characters in his upcoming venture Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea appears as Kalyani who is a wife and mother to a man with whom she is in love with her. Andrea was picked for the role following Simran and Tabu both actresses were approached by the producers. The film was released during the first half of 2010. It was first released in the film of Venkat Mankatha in the year 2011, which starred a number of actors. She made her Malayalam film debut alongside her role in Rajeeev Rathi's Annayum Rasoolum in 2013.
