At present, she is a magnet to aspiring artists, she is constantly looking over beats sent her way and finds that many end up sparking song ideas. It's only after five minutes that I know the beat's worthy of my time. Then I can get an idea of a song's whole concept within my head, and then I begin to compose. If I am sitting at my front porch, playing guitar, the lyrics just come out and can be completed in less than thirty minutes. Niykee says that when she develops as a lyricist and musician, her memories of her childhood are an source of inspiration. "Even in the absence of writing about my personal life it is the loss of my sister and my painful childhood experiences are integrated into my songs," she says. The resulting music is shaped by my experiences and gives it a deeper meaning, which I find very important. I'd like to be able to hear my music in the next 20 years and still feel proud about my words.
