Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on December 30, 1986. She gained the attention of the world in 2010 through her hits "Starry Eyed" and "Guns and Horses" British vocalist Ellie Goulding rapidly rose to the highest of the charts thanks to her energetic electronic pop. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding is at the cutting edge, like Kate Bush and Imogen Sheap of popular contemporary music and of independent, arty pop.
