Kelly Clarkson

KellyKelly Clarkson (in full Kelly Brianne Clarkson) was born on April 24, 1982 , in Fort Worth, Texas. Clarkson is an American performer, songwriter and TV host. In 2002, she won her first American Idol talent contest. Clarkson was born within Burleson Texas (a suburban area within Fort Worth), where her vocal talents were initially noticed by her seventh grade class teacher. Clarkson dropped out of high school to move in Los Angeles where she failed to break into the entertainment industry. After returning home to Texas in 2002, Clarkson was a contestant for the American Idol, a show broadcast by the Fox Broadcasting Co. American Idol. This singing competition gave viewers the chance to select their favourite performer. Clarkson's voice, charisma, as well as her humour, were instantly appreciated by viewers. The prize she received to win the competition was $1 million and an recording deal with RCA.
