sylvester stalloneSylvester Stallone was born on July 6, 1946, as Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan. He's the son with the most experience of Francesco Stallone Sr. (a hairdresser) and Jackie Stallone (astrologer, and dancer). Frank Stallone is his younger brother and actor. Because of complications during the birth of his daughter, Sylvester's lower left side was crippled. This resulted in the famed "snarling" speech, slurred words and distinctive appearance. Due to the volatile relationships between his parents, Stallone spent his first years in foster care. They split later. Stallone took classes in drama at the American College in Switzerland before going to the University of Miami. He left school before completing his degree and moved to New York City to pursue acting as a career.
